The Sacramento Hotel Association (SHA) is the voice of the region’s lodging industry – from boutique hotels to major convention properties – representing more than 10,000 guestrooms. Our membership includes valued allied businesses and suppliers which support the local hospitality community. Through collaboration, advocacy, and leadership, SHA works to ensure our industry remains strong, competitive, and a vital part of the region’s growth.
Our Mission
The mission of the Sacramento Hotel Association is to provide the environment within which those engaged in the lodging/hospitality industry in the Sacramento region may obtain educational, informational, and networking experiences, to actively advocate the SHA position on issues, and to foster local government and community recognition of the industry as an important segment of the regional economy.

Guided by our Executive Committee and in partnership with the California Hotel & Lodging Association, SHA monitors legislative developments and keeps members informed about new laws and regulations that impact hotel operations, helping properties stay compliant and competitive.

Visit Sacramento
SHA’s partnership with Visit Sacramento is integral to the industry. We work together to promote the travel to the Sacramento region and tell our story to the rest of the world.
STMD Partnership
SHA continues to be the leading proponent of the hotel industry-sponsored Sacramento Tourism Marketing District (STMD). The marketing dollars collected from this special district are vital to the marketing of our destination. The association leadership is responsible for appointing lodging industry representatives to the STMD Tourism District Committee, which oversees the district’s budget and marketing program.
