Advocacy & Legislative Efforts

The Sacramento Hotel Association works to protect your hotel through targeted advocacy and legislative efforts. As the voice of Sacramento’s lodging industry, SHA stays engaged with local and state governments to ensure our members’ interests are represented and protected.

We keep our stakeholders informed about proposed laws and regulations, providing clear guidance to help properties stay compliant with new requirements. SHA also shares resources and updates on key legislative developments that matter to Sacramento hoteliers.

SHA, guided by our Executive Committee and in partnership with the California Hotel & Lodging Association, sets advocacy priorities for the association. These priorities are implemented by SHA’s leadership team in partnership with industry advocates and coalition partners.
