A Letter from the SHA President

Dear Members of the Sacramento Hotel Association,

As I step into the role of President of the Sacramento Hotel Association, I want to begin by offering my sincere and heartfelt thanks to our outgoing President, Patrick Miller, for his extraordinary leadership throughout 2025.

Under Patrick’s steady guidance, SHA experienced one of the most successful and impactful years in our association’s history. His commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and thoughtful governance strengthened our collective voice at a critical time for our industry. Patrick led with integrity, clarity, and an unwavering focus on what is best for our members, and the results speak for themselves. On behalf of the Board and the entire SHA membership, thank you, Patrick, for your exceptional service and dedication.

As we build on this strong foundation, I am both honored and energized to lead SHA into the year ahead. The hospitality landscape continues to evolve rapidly, and with that evolution comes opportunity. Our focus in the coming year will be on ensuring SHA remains not only strong, but increasingly relevant, responsive, and forward-looking.

Key strategic initiatives for the year ahead will include:

Deepening member engagement through more meaningful programming, education, and peer collaboration.
Strengthening advocacy efforts to ensure our industry’s voice is clearly heard at the local and regional level.
Expanding partnerships that enhance value for members and elevate Sacramento as a premier hospitality destination.
Fostering leadership development to support the next generation of hospitality professionals.
Enhancing communication and transparency so members are informed, connected, and aligned

Our industry thrives when we work together, and I am confident that with your continued involvement and support, SHA will continue to be a powerful force for our hotels, our teams, and our community.
